  • Coordinator of Technology Staff Development
    Dave Ramage, Ph.D dramage@soudertonsd.org

    • create digital stories with students to demonstrate their understanding of curricular goals
    • implement the National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETSS)
    • collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative student achievement data
    • conduct a videoconference with a distant (or nearby) school, university, museum, industry expert, author, scientist, or cultural exchange
    • revise formative assessments, summative assessments, and rubrics to better align with 21st century skills
    • integrate technology tools that best match the learning goals established in the district curriculum
    • plan, or co-present, a professional learning opportunity for other Souderton Area School District professional staff members
    • use digital video for an Interview Protocol, instructional resource, or a student project
    • create a free account for streaming video access at Discovery Education, or web-based resources at NetTrekker
    • sharpen internet searching skills for or students' research, or professional study
    • extend the higher order thinking, or creativity, of an existing lesson, performance task, or assessment
    • complete the required components of an induction portfolio
Ongoing professional learning across an entire district cannot happen without the help of many leaders. If you are willing to facilitate a session contact Dave and he'll help in any way he can. Workshops can be scheduled for in-service days, summer sessions, or after school hours. Using technology to improve student achievement is a complex task - we need to work together to accomplish it.

You can view a current catalog of professional learning opportunities on MyLearningPlan.com (MLP). If you are planning to lead a session please complete the Workshop Proposal Form on MLP before the session begins. You can also contact Dave with problems related to Act 48 or Act 45 hours, or problems using the MyLearningPlan.com web site.

Our overarching goal is creating technology-rich learning environments to increase student achievement. Contact Dr. Ramage at the Mark Garis Staff Development Center located in Franconia School at 215-723-2596 x152, or via e-mail at dramage@soudertonsd.org.
